Join TLCBD’s internship for Transitional Aged Youth (ages 18-24)

TLCBD leads internship opportunities in collaboration with DCYF for transitional aged youth. Our intent with the internship is to take young people from all different walks of life and expose them to a variety of training as well as some hands-on workshops which could support them in finding employment at the internships end. Internships are open to all between the ages of 18-24, multiple internship tracks available.

Responsibilities:

• Positively engage with all collaborators within the internship
• Suggest areas for improvement within the internship (what would you like to see)
• Deescalate situations when needed
• Tracking Friday attendance data in accordance with guidelines of CMS
• Participate in scheduled TLCBD trainings
• Daily monitoring of your timecard and punches
• Remain in communication with your manager on all things pertaining to your internship

Qualifications:

• Be between the ages of 18-24 years old
• Have an interest in Policy & Voice or Work Readiness
• Ability to work in a diverse, multi-cultural community
• Access to a working cell phone
• Comfortable navigating the Tenderloin neighborhood
• Ability to attend internship 11am-4pm Tuesday -Thursday and 3pm-8pm on Fridays
• Ability to attend your internship in all weather conditions
• Bilingual (is a plus)
